    hello , does anyone know how can i modify an widget to act only for certain pages of the site , possibly just for the home page ?

    or if you have Jetpack by WordPress installed you can just activate the Widget Visibility module.

    Or you can even try Widget logic: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/.

    Install & activate this plugin. On the widgets screen, you will find the widget-logic area added to every widget. You simple need to add the conditional. For example, if you want to show the widget only on the home page, add is_home() in the widget_logic textarea.

    can’t use that it’s ain’t what i really wan’t
    this widget is acting on a map in home page and influences the category pages to show posts from specific locations . i just want to act just for the home page map and the post category to display default .
    i’m desperate , stuck since february.
