my first wp powered site mobile feature works great (using jetpack).

I added another site and the mobile does not work (get a website may be temporarily down or moved….

I think it is a wp-config.php or htaccess file problem). However not sure how to make the appropriate changes.

Is there a simple fix for this?

Did you activate Jetpack on this site?

Yes I did, and I even tried a few other mobile plugins, but nothing works. The hosting company said they thought the problem was because I have multiple sites using WordPress. However I cant find a solution anywhere.

Unlikely. Jetpack’s pretty cool with Multisite, so unless your .htaccess is really customized, it should be fine.

    What’s in yours?

Can you also give us the URL of the broken site?

    the url is
    http://www.chrisrither.com/

I did not customize the .htaccess at all.

Ok, when a mobile device accesses the site, http://www.chrisrither.com/ is redirected to http://m.chrisrither.com/

I’m assuming that it them fails because the m.chrisrither.com subdomain doesn’t exist.

This type of mobile-only redirect is not something that WordPress does on its own. More than likely, you have a plugin providing this redirect, so please double-check your active plugins. It could also be a .htaccess rule, though less likely.
