Mobile menus
-
I have two menus that I use for two different physical sites sharing one website. So one set of pages uses one menu and anther set of pages uses another menu. They show up fine on a desktop, but I can’t work out how to make them visible on a mobile. I can see I can choose one menu for mobile, but I actually need to use both menus for their respective pages. Is this possible?
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi,
If you have 2 separate WordPress installs, you can’t use Conditional Menus to define the menu conditions as they are stored on different database. Another note is that Conditional Menus is not for setting different menus for mobile. For toggling menus on desktop/mobile, you can use CSS (ie. use CSS media queries to show/hide the menu for different viewport breakpoints).
@themifyme is Conditional Menus supposed to work if the menus need to be the same on desktop and mobile? Or does the plugin not work on mobile at all?
The menu only swap the actual menus (it can not swap to a different menu for mobile). FYI: you can use CSS to hide/show different menus for mobile.
@themifyme ok, I don’t need a different menu on mobile. I need the same menus as on my desktop site – that has separate menus for different pages – but they are not working on the various pages on mobile
@themifyme also, my conditional menus ‘manage locations’ settings are gone but the desktop site is still working. How do I get the settings back?
Could you post a screenshot of what you have here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/kpubObbK?
Make sure you have the Conditional Menus plugin activated. Also try to switch to another theme. Perhaps your theme doesn’t have any menu location registered.
I cannot share screenshot to that link. It seems to direct me to a different screenshot.
I know I have Conditional Menus activated and also, it has already worked with my theme before – the ‘manage locations’ has worked before with the theme. That’s how I set them up in the first place. They still work on the front end (desktop site), but I can no longer edit because those options have disappeared.
The mobile difficulties are more pressings at the moment. I’m not sure why the plugin doesn’t translate into my mobile site. Again, I don’t need different menus for the mobile site, just for it to match up with desktop menu settings.

Is there a way to add custom conditions?
I want to switch menus based on a cookie value!
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately we do not have option to change menus based on cookie values, but custom functions or custom conditions can only be added to the plugin by custom coding it ( the custom coding should be done from your part or you can hire a WordPress plugin developer to do the custom work for you ).
