Hi just updated to 0.9.8 and am having 2 issues with the Mobile Detect Shortcodes and redirecting

    1)
My website (http://www.alexandersharkey.photography/) has galleries and i have it set up as follows:
    [xyz-ihs snippet=”Beach”]
    [is_mobile]
    [redirect]http://www.alexandersharkey.photography/3.html#expanded[/redirect]
    [/is_mobile]

This worked fine before updating to the latest version.

However now it doesn’t redirect at all.

    2)
Also my home page worked as follows:
    [isnt_phone]

    [xyz-ihs snippet=”Portfolio”]

    [/isnt_phone]

    [is_phone]

VIEW PORTFOLIO (a hyperlink for mobile users to click to view the portfolio gallery)

    [/is_phone]

Again, this doesn’t work at all. And actually shows the code [isnt_phone]

Any ideas why this is happening?

Should i downgrade back to the last version?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hello,

I apologize for the inconvenience! The mobile detect module was removed in 0.9.8 in an attempt to slim down the plugin. It’s back in 0.9.9, so please download the latest update to solve the issue.

It’s my mistake, I assumed that the module was not being used, but I see that it is. As noted in the documentation, I feel that the module needs to be tested more fully, so I appreciate the feedback.

Thanks Eliot for putting it back in.

    Much appreciated!

    You code is very transparent.

In between you putting it back in i had tried using two other plugins to get it to work. And I did, but Custom Content Shortcode is much faster in adding the code to the page and also in application on the user end.

Again much appreciated for the very timely fix!

Great, I’m glad that solves it. A good lesson for me to be more careful with existing features. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂
