hi! Every time I update events calendar all translations are gone and plugin is only in English. I have created Estonian translations already more then year ago and with updates just have to create again mo file manually every time. Would it be possible to not remove existing translations by Modern Tribe?

    Hey @sandras21,

Oh, I’m sorry about you losing your translations with the updates. I hope you are keeping a backup at least of the translation files, so you don’t need to start from scratch each time.

I think I can help you out here.

First, so you don’t always need to redo it, this article will help you:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-override-plugin-language-files/

An extra note for that. When an update for the plugin comes out then you want to update your .po file. To do that open your .po with PoEdit (or some similar app). Then go to the Catalog > Update from POT file …, choose the new POT file from wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\lang\the-events-calendar.pot.

You can do the same for the rest of our plugins as well.

If you would like to contribute your translation to The Events Calendar plugin, then this article will point you in the right direction:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/translating-the-events-calendar/

There also a link in there if you want to contribute to the pro plugins.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    Andras
