Missing themes, plugins, and pages on dashboard

Everything shows up fine on the blog. I can edit parts of the theme using a text editor in webshell but cannont access the themes, plugins or pages of my blog through the wordpress log-in page and dashboard.

Get error message that theme doesn’t exist if I select editor. Themes options show up however. WordPress shows blank under current theme and doesn’t list any of the other themes that I have downloaded on my site. Any ideas why wordpress can’t see these things?
