I’m developing a new site. I created a hero and header, but realized I was using the Default Template for my main page, and not “Front Page” under page attributes.

Then I’ve lost my hero and header. I’m don’t know how to get it back.

    Thank you!!

  • @marinccl I am sorry for the delay in response.

The main hero should appear either on Front Page or Default template, or any page template.

Perhaps you should re-enable the main hero by going to Appearance menu > Customize > Hero Area > Hero Type > select ‘No header’ for Front page header type; save; select ‘Full screen slider’; and save.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you Kharis, but unfortunately, that did not work. I’ve tried a few different templates such as “full width” and “theme” with the same result.

I tried the template “elementor full width”. The Hero is appears, but I don’t like the page section.

In either case, I’m not seeing my two menu links, only “Main Page”.

I’ll try any ideas you may have.

    Thanks again,

@marinccl thank you for getting back along with additional information.

I’d like to replicate your page to get the better context.

Can you share some screenshots to your page’s settings and current header settings under Customizer?

    P.S.:

Direct file upload is not allowed in the forums. So you can use external file sharing services like Google Drive and link its public link as you reply.

I really appreciate you helping me.

I’ve created a folder with 7 .png screen shots. The title should describe the view. I reduced the size of the image so you can see as much of the page in one screen print.

Please let me know if you need to see anything else.

    Thanks again Kharis!

@marinccl thank you for getting back along with the screenshots.

My guess you’ve enabled particular setting on Elementor that hides the theme’s header and footer. To verify this, you may want to temporarily disable the Elementor for checking purpose.

I’d request giving it a try and let me know your views.

    Thank you Kharis.

I removed the Elementor editor plugin and reloaded it. That seemed to solve my issue.
