After more checking, the calendar events for this month also disappear if you click on the forward arrow (to next month) and then back again to this month.
Thanks.
Hi,
I’ve not been able to reproduce this. Which version of Events Manager are you using?
Hi, I am also having this problem. I just upgraded to the latest version of Events Manager.
The version is Version 5.5.4
Thanks
I am having the exact same problems as JulianMu: absolutely no events show up in 2015; and when clicking the back arrow to get back to 2014, the events that had shown up before going ahead to 2015 have disappeared.
Running Events Manager 5.5.4, and Events Manager Pro 2.3.9 on WP 4.0.1, Twenty Ten theme.
Sorry, forgot site URL: http://thecollegeclub.org/public-events/ (same thing happens to the http://thecollegeclub.org/events/ calendar, which is available only to members)
Thanks for the link. Looks like this could be an issue caused by another plugin or your theme. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while using the default WordPress theme?
Would like to add that sites that haven’t been updated to the latest version of Events Manager are not having this problem. Is it possible it’s a bug with the latest version?
OK, I have done all the deactivating of plugins and going to the default theme, then reactivating one at a time. Same problem. BUT the issue only shows up on customized pages called something other than “events”. Everything works fine on the default Events page, which has other text and the word CONTENTS where the calendar should appear.
It no longer works on 2 pages customized to show only a subset of events. These 2 pages now only display events for the current month. Using the next and previous arrows to go to another month cause the calendar to display no entries, and when returning to the current month using the arrows, it also appears there are no events:
a page with text, then [events_calendar long_events=1 full=1 category=-15] and
a page with text and then [events_calendar long_events=1 full=1 category=15] (The first is to display all events EXCEPT events of a certain category, the second is to display ONLY events of that category)
This affects both full calendars and small calendars set to display only a subset of events.
Are you able to view 2015 events when using a standard text list?
Does it work if you use the events_calendar shortcode without the category attribute?
I don’t know how to display events in a text list.
Using the shortcode [events_calendar full=1 long_events=1] does work without categories.
Thanks for everyone chipping in here…
I am very time poor at the moment and cannot take the website down to test every single plugin 🙁
However I re-instated the previous version of Events Manager and every thing is working again.
My deduction here is that it is not any other plugin, but an issue with the latest update.
Sorry I can’t help more than that, the silly season is here, and things are quite crazy.
@julianmu I am with you 100%. We’re using this plugin on several client sites and can’t afford to simply deactivate all plugins and switch themes. That’s not an option, especially since everything was working fine until the update. We too are reverting back to an older version of the plugin until the author can find a fix.
Good news: We’re testing a fix for this at the moment and it’ll be included in the next update (5.5.5), which should available in the next day or two.
