Missing content after coping for dev site

hello,

I used the paid version of plugin to export and import a copy of the website to use as a dev site for changes. Nearly all my content is missing after import (pages, posts, etc.).
The site file is large (4.3GB) and there is obviously a lot of content that goes along with it.

I am trying another import now but am unclear as to why pages & posts are missing.
