    Hi,

I’m trying to use wp pipes but notice that on the destination input is missing the author field when trying to add a feed even though it appears on the source output.

    Hi,

As I know, the standard post of WordPress does not have any field to store a string as author. It will pick the ID of the user who created that post and use it as the author, right? That is what happens when you create posts manually.

So with a input field for author on the right side, WPPipes does not know how to store that value because the author from feed does not have valid ID on your WordPress site. In this case, WPPipes will have to create new author then use that new ID. But this feature could be considered to improve in next versions. Or if you want to have it soon, you could hire us doing a custom work.

    Best Regards!
