Minimaze theme – having issues

Just started using wordpress to create a website for my business. Trouble is, very few of the changes I make in the website customizer actually show up in the preview on the right-hand side or when the website is saved and viewed. Im sure there is something I am doing wrong, but I have NO idea what it is. I would really appreciate some help.

For example, I want the website to display my companies logo, not the website title. When in the customizer, I go to theme options —> general settings. Under Logo Settings, there is a message that states “If you have an image logo you can upload it, otherwise you can display a text site title”. I select custom image logo, and upload my image as directed. Nothing happens! Should not my logo appear where the website name is? The logo doesn’t appear anywhere on the preview. I try saving the website and viewing it again and still no logo.

I have been having these same problems with the ThinkUpSlider and other content on the homepage.

I would really appreciate some help with this. Thank you in advance to anybody who takes the time to post a response to this.
