    Hi,
I am testing WP-Optimize cache plugin. When minify feature is turned on NextGen slideshows do not work as expected. WP-Optimize can exclude files and pages from being minified. I want to exclude NextGen from being minified. What are the NGG files I can exclude? Thanks.

    Hi @francoc30,

Could you please access WP-Optimize -> Minify -> JavaScript then check "Contain each included file in its own block (enable if trying to isolate a JavaScript error introduced by minifying or merging)" and "Save Settings", clear the cache and hard refresh the page to see if that’ll fix the problem?

    Hi Imagely,
Did what you suggested: enable “Contain each included file . . . “, save, then purge page and minify cache. Problem still persists.

    Hi @francoc30,

Could you please confirm that you have hard refreshed the page using Ctrl+F5 key combination after enabling the “Contain each included file..”, perhaps the browser keeps loading the cached scripts.

    Hi @imagely,
Yes I confirmed that after enabling the “Contain each included file..”, I did Ctrl+F5 to clear browser cache. I also did Ctrl+Shift+delete key combination. Issue is still there. My front page slideshow is affected both in Chrome and Firefox. In addition, in Firefox when I click on a photo in a gallery, the photo is displayed. The expected lightbox is showing nothing else (navigation arrows, description and close button). I have to close the browser window to exit the view.

    Hi @francoc30,

I am sorry, could you please confirm as well that you have pressed "Reset the minified files" from "WP Optimize -> Minify -> Minify Status" after enabling that setting?

Alternately, you can try adding this resource into the Exclude JavaScript from processing field to exclude NGG’s slideshow script from the minify list:

    wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_basic_gallery/static/slideshow/ngg_basic_slideshow.js

I’ll try and let you know the outcome.

    Hi @imagely,
“Minify -> Minify Status” is a tab not a button. In any case, I did press the tab to go to the Minify section. There I enabled the minify feature, enabled the “Contain each included file..”. I added “wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_basic_gallery/static/slideshow/ngg_basic_slideshow.jsAnd also purged the browser cache” to the Exclude JavaScript from processing field. I purged the minify files and the browser cache.
    Issues still persisted.
I forgot to mention, I use NGG pro horizontal filmstrip and pro lightbox.

    @francoc30,

I am sorry but this is completely different since Pro Horizontal Filmstrip and Pro Lightbox are premium features that due to the forum rules can’t be discussed here.
