MIME type error

Hi,

I think (not sure) I have a problem with SuperPWA.

On my website in the wp-admin part, I have this type of error :

Refused to apply style from '...' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not a supported stylesheet MIME type, and strict MIME checking is enabled.

Refused to execute script from '...' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.

I arrived at the conclusion that was SuperPWA involved because when I made a « Force update » (on Chrome : CTRL + MAJ + R), there is no error. But, once SuperPWA is active and I reload the page normally, the errors showed up.

Can you help please ?

Hello Louis,

SuperPWA doesn’t do anything on the WordPress admin and is excluded as you can see here: https://github.com/SuperPWA/Super-Progressive-Web-Apps/blob/10cd1b7dcf675a8f63a169a6bcb5d29a8c82a31a/public/sw.php#L108

A confirmatory test would be to deactivate SuperPWA temporarily and also to remove the service worker installed on your browser.

You can do this by going to Chrome Dev tools > Application tab > Service workers > Unregister > Close tab and reopen or restart browser and see if the error persists. Please note that its very important to restart the tab.

I’m sorry to tell you that when I disable SuperPWA and I clean the SW, It works without any error. 😕

I see, I am wondering why.

How can I replicate this error at my end? What plugins should I use and what should I do?

The browser is latest Chrome I believe.

I’m on Chrome version 66.0.3359.170.

The error is especially annoying when I want to edit a page/post because It put in error the two plugins that I use ThirstyAffiliates (https://wordpress.org/plugins/thirstyaffiliates/) and Ad Inserter (https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-inserter/).

I’m also using Autoptimize (https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/) and CloudFlare.

Actually no.
I thought It was fixed, but in fact no because the problem come from SuperPWA.

I am unfamiliar with this error and based on reading about it online I think its because the content-type of the file is text/html when it should be application/javascript.

Since SuperPWA does not mess with the content-type, I am not sure what is happening here.

Disabling Cloudflare temporarily didn’t help? Is the rocket loader enabled?

I tried with Rocket Loader Off and CloudFlare disabled.
Nothing change, I’ve got the same problem …
