Meta Tag trouble

I’m trying to build a mobile app, and am beginning to feel extremely stupid.

Currently my app does not show the full blog post and I have been told it’s an issue with the site, not the builder. Heres what I was told:

“Right now small description is coming in the <description> tag and the large description is coming in <content:encoded>. The standard format for tag is short description comes in <content> tag and description comes in <description tag.”

Can you give any advice as to how to correct the issue? I’m always a little nervous to mess around in the editor, but can if needed.
