Meta Tag Code not showing up

    I added this line of code:

    <title>+++sass&peril+++<title>
        <meta name="description" content="graphic design, art, and handmade goods">
        <meta name="keywords" content="graphic design, art, handmade, crafts, sass, and, peril">

    in between <head> and </head> but it’s not showing up on my blog’s page source code or registering upon a google search for my site.

    This is what it is showing instead:

    Ugly right?

    What gives? Ps, I tried downloading the plug in but it did not work so I’d prefer code to plug-in suggestions.

    ok, so I figured out the All-In-One SEO pack.

    I went through all the steps. I downloaded it to my ftp under wp-content>plugins…activated it under plugins, and customized it under settings. My page source code looks good, the SEO pack info is showing up with meta info, etc BUT the Google search is still showing the crazy characters above upon a search for the site/blog. This is no good.

    Does anyone have any insight on that part of things?
