Hi jason,
There have been problems in the past yes, especially with the Photon bit of JetPack – although I do think that should be fixed now.
Can you narrow it down to a single JetPack addon? Could you describe the conflict you’re seeing?
Regards,
Tom
Hi,
I updated to Jetpack 2.3.4 and Meta Slider 2.2 don’t work.
The Meta Slide window is empty, blank, nothing.
See
If I deactivate the Jetpack, Meta Slider work again.
Thanks!
Hi Usapuka,
Could you confirm it’s actually JetPack that’s causing the problem? It looks like a different issue to me so I just need to work out whether it’s a coincidence or it’s actually JetPack that’s causing the problem.
Does Meta Slider start working when you disable JetPack? If it does, could you enable JetPack, then disable the individual components one by one to find which component is causing the issue?
The issue I suspect it is (server running out of memory) is described in detail, with solutions, here: http://www.metaslider.com/documentation/troubleshooting/ (scroll down to ‘Problem: Admin Screen is Blank’)
Regards,
Tom.
Hi Tom,
I am using the basic components of JetPack, the rest are disable. The memory has 32mb ( for more memory I have to go to a more expensive hosting plan) and the safe_mode is disabled.
If I disable JetPack, Meta Slider works. Meta Slider stop working when I connect JetPack with WordPress.com.
Thanks, regards!
Hi Usapuka,
I strongly suspect the memory limit is being hit. It could just be that the new version of JetPack uses up a little more memory, which has tipped your total memory usage over the limit.
32mb is not very much at all really. As described in the link, WordPress ‘wants’ to use 256mb for image opening/editing. Even if safe_mode is off, your host may still force the memory limit to be 32mb.
I’d suggest taking a look at your php error logs (usually you can find them in your hosting control panel) to see if you get an error about it. You wouldn’t have many options to be honest, apart from upgrading your plan, or moving to a host with less restrictive limits.
If you’ve been uploading large images, and are relying on Meta Slider to do the resizing, then you could ‘patch over’ the problem by deleting your slides and replacing them correctly sized images. There are details on how to delete the slides, even when the admin page is blank, noted on the link I sent in my last reply.
Regards,
Tom.
Hi Tom,
You’re right, I have increased the memory to 64mb and now is working.
Thank you, regards.
Cool 🙂
I’ll close this now as there are a couple of different issues in here.
If anyone else has problems with JetPack, please start a new thread.
(I also do not check for new replies on resolved threads)
