meta description not displaying | WordPress.org

Hi, I’m using the All In One SEO Pack plugin to write in the site’s meta description http://jerryfeeney.com/blog/ but when I check the meta description with something like seocentro it says site has no meta description. Also when checked in SERP, Google pulls the on-page text as a meta description. Why isn’t my meta description being displayed?

Curious, under Settings -> General, do you have anything in Tagline? If not, try putting the description there as well.

James, thanks I’ll give it a shot, though something tells me it’s the theme that might be playing tricks on the meta tag.

Mark, currently both Title and Tagline under Settings> General are cleared. I have tried inserting data into them and testing, but it didn’t pull from there so I figured it’s best to clear those fields entirely and only add the data into All In One SEO Pack.
