• Things were going quite well until I decided to make some changes under Settings/General. I changed the site name and urls. Now nothing can be found or loaded. BTW I am running on localhost with WAMP.

Is there a way to fix this or would it be better to start over with a new site? Thanks.

  • You could try doing this within the database, change it back to origin. Otherwise you could, if not much done, reinstall WordPress.

    Hello Engine44,
I think you entered the Incorrect Url. so, you can’t accessed any things.

To fix this please follow the below steps:

    1) Go to your current database.
    2) Then, select wp_options table.
    3) Search siteurl in column optionname and change optionvalue with your previous siteurl.
    4) And also change your home option value with same as siteurl.

I hope it will help you.

    Thanks

    Great! It worked. Thank you.

I’m curious about why the Settings allows you to change the url when it will mess up things?

    Hello Engine44,

Welcome mate, you can get more idea about your query from this link https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory.

I hope it will help you.

    Thanks
