just building the website, its http://www.achberger.photo, the contact page. I have the WPML installed with 3 languages.
I would love to have the message field 3 lines tall, by default if possible.

You can try to install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ go to Appearance -> Custom CSS and add this:
textarea#pirate-forms-contact-message {height: auto !important;}
