menus not working

    My menu is not working. I cannot add any page or category to the menus. Whatever theme I use its not working properly. This is hardly affecting my sites working.

    when I click on add to menu button, nothing is getting added to the menu:

    Appearance >> menu >> add to menu
    —–

    Please help
