I’ve been managing a website that runs on a custom theme for a few years, and I have not had any problems. I recently updated to WordPress 4.4.2, and now the horizontal navigation and main menu no longer shows up on the website (www.usfoodsovereigntyalliance.org). I am no longer in touch with the designer, and I am not skilled in coding.
In an attempt to fix the problem, I updated all of the plug-ins. I cleared my history and the cache in my browser, but this did not bring the navigation menu back. I deactivated all of my plug-ins, but this did not bring the navigation menu back either. The custom menu is still there on the back-end, in Appearance>Menus, and it is still assigned to the correct location. I looked at header.php and functions.php, but I could not see anything glaringly wrong.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I just use a new theme? It doesn’t seem like the custom theme could be the problem, but I am ready to move on from this custom theme anyway.
Thanks.
