Menu – Showing Category Description
-
Hi there,
I have a woocommerce site using Virtue – however I am using some product categories in the menu and the menu is displaying the description of the product categories. Any idea how I can get rid of this without deleting the description from the categories?

Hey, go to appearance > menus and in the screen options tab on the top right make sure Description is selected. Then open the drop down for your product category menu item and leave the description tab blank.
Hope that helps!
HannahHow simple! Thanks so much Hannah!
Sorry, got the same problem using the free virtue them.
Deleting the description is not an option because it is still used by other SEO tools.
And I don’t see a point at all (even never seen before) to show the descrition at all. It just take too much space.Hey Juergen Schulze, a lot of people seem to like the description option. Lots seem to go for this sort of look- http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-3/
You can remove it by adding this to your custom css box in theme options > advanced settings:.sf-menu li a .sf-description { display: none !important }Hannah
Thanks for the hint. I am just a goof with css – never liked it.
