    Can you tell me how I can have the menu appear by default? I’m going to increase the transparency of that panel to have the menu appear over a picture of a church. Thanks.

    You mean that the menu is always visible and not hidden?

    I think you can do this with a child theme but I’m not sure about this.
    Further reading.

    If you want to do it, you have to modify the css and remove the display: none; on the .sm-nav selector.
