Menu not updating after login

Hello, for some reason an issue has developed and I cannot figure it out.

I use theme my login and nav menu roles plugins and a few others. I have different menu items for logged out users and different menus for logged in users.

When a visitor comes to the site, browses and then decides to login to interact, then return to a page they visited while logged out, the menu doesn’t update to show them logged in user menu items. If they click refresh, it updates to logged in.

Where do I start? Any suggestions?
