Hi @batface4,
Can you try to temporarily switch the theme to a default one like Twenty Twenty?
Can you also let me know what theme are you using?
We need to update the plugin compatibility version but I’m not getting any issues with 5.7.2.
Thanks
Hi there,
Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly.
I have switched the theme to Twenty Nineteen and the blue menu image button does not show up.
I was using the blank slate theme with the elementor plugin to build the website. This allows me to use ‘elementor canvas’ which essentially gives you a blank page, and over-sides the themes.
The changes I have made since I last used menu image, is updating all the plug ins and the WordPress. I’ve also cleared the cache a number of times.
Menu image is core for the design of my website, is there anything else I can try to get it working? Have you had any issues with the elementor plug in?
Thanks
Hi @batface4,
Need to ask something in private. Can you contact me using the form on the page below?

Thanks.
Hi Rui,
Thanks again. I just tried to use the link and submit through it but it didn’t work. I’ll try again in a bit – or is there another method I can use?
All the best,
Sophie
That was an issue in our site form that is already working. But I saw your contact details and will reach out.
Thanks
I’m having the same issue. The Menu Image button doesn’t show up for new items that I’m adding to my menu. Help please!
Its a simple solution – you have to save the menu.
So once you have added the new item to the menu, then press the save button.
Once the menu is saved, the menu image button should appear.
Good luck hope it works!
oh thank you so much! That worked! But now I see that the new menu item is not aligned with the other ones. Any suggestions on how to fix that? https://www.bfranklincrafts.com/
I’m not sure how to fix that im afraid. I would check that you have cropped your image item to match the others? But also just fiddle around.
Rui Guerreiro (see above) is the person that helped me, and also the author of the plug in. If you start a new thread with that exact question, I’m sure they’ll be able to help!
Good luck π
thank you batface! I’ll open a new question.
Thanks @batface4
@brigittelee I see that you already sorted it.
