    Hello,

i am using Responsive Menu Version 2.4

I am confused about that the Responsive Menü is making in Sourcecode a additional output of the Menu Structure.

I have in my Site one Menu (Mainmenu). This i want to be shown Responsive down under 1024px.

So why is the Plugin making now a doubled Menu output in Source Code. Why not using Menu output in from header.php?

This makes the Sourcecode in my eyes measy and not very professional.

Is there any solution for this?
I mean actually normal Menu is displayed till 1024px, so Responsive Menu is set to display: none till this Size. But still in Source Code the Code is visible.

    Regards

  • Hi emitremmus,

I’m afraid that this is the way it has to work for all sorts of reasons.

For example how would you add the additional content around the header menu only responsively like the title, image, additional content, search box etc. etc. You also would then have problems of making it compatible with a shortcode etc.

If you can find a way of doing this only using the original menu then you are more than welcome to try, however I don’t think you will be able to keep all the functionality offered I’m afraid with this approach.

I can see why the duplicated menu might not be so nice on your eyes when reading the source code, but I would say it makes the sites front end that people see alot nicer on the eyes which is the more important thing to 99.9% of people viewing your site.

    Many thanks

    Peter
