Menu doesn't link to translated pages
-
Hello everyone,
I translated all the pages with Polylang.
English is my default language and the translated language is Spanish.
When I click on the Spanish menu, it jumps back to the English version, and never shows the translated Spanish page. What could it be?
Thank you for your help

Hi
Could you provide a link to your site? There it is:
lozanotranslations.com
In Appearance > Menu > Spanish menu: open the page metabox “Sobre mi”. Then check for the “Original: ” option, you have well a spanish page and not an english page.
I checked what you said. All the Spanish pages on the Spanish menu have in “Original” the page in English. Is that right?
All the Spanish pages on the Spanish menu have in “Original” the page in English.
It’s the problem, it can’t work like this.
In your Spanish menu, your Original pages must be in Spanish.
Ok, thank you Chrystl.
Do you know how to fix it?
Remove this English page, then select in your Page metabox the Spanish page and add it in your Menu structure.
Thank you very much! It worked. Now I can see the pages in Spanish.
However, when I click on “Sobre mí” and “Contacto” the menu changes back to English.
Why is that?Could you provide screenshots of:
* in Appearance > Menu > Spanish menu: open the page metabox “Sobre mi”.
* Pages > All pages: Edit the “Sobre mi” page. Please don’t cut the admin top bar and the left menu on your screenshots.
You can upload them via http://snag.gy and link to them here.Your “Sobre mi” page must be link by the translation (pen icon instead plus sign) with “About me” as explained here:
6 – TRANSLATING PAGE, POST, CATEGORIES AND TAGS ❷It’s working perfectly now.
Thank you very much.
