Menu Disappears when Viewing Category Archives | WordPress.org

When viewing category archives the primary site menu bar along the top vanishes, the colored width of the bar is there, but there is no menu.

Is the theme designed to do this? How can I ensure the menu is ALWAYS displayed on every post, page, category, or otherwise?

Have you tried deactivating all plugins to explore whether any could be responsible?

Right on Andrew. It was the Add Tags And Category To Page And Post Types plugin.
