    Try clearing your browser’s cache.

My problem still unresolved, but I’m not thinking that it’s a WP problem anymore. The menus work fine in some browsers on some computers and not on others. Clearing the cache doesn’t help. Neither does rebuilding the menus in WordPress. I can see the changed menus but they’re still not functioning properly on some machines, in some browsers. It’s not consistent with browsers across machines.

Does the issue persist on the theme’s demo site: http://wp-themes.com/twentyeleven/ ?

    (@rickrowell)

no, it does not. So WP is fine and the theme is fine. Maybe its magic?

Does the issue persist with all plugins deactivated on your site?

Disabling plugin “easy slider lite” corrects the problem. Re-enabling the plugin breaks the same menus again. curiouser and curiouser

    Which browser has an issue?

    thanks for the help Andrew.
I mainly use Chrome which has a problem with the site on my laptop. IE is fine. I have two other machines nearby, both running Chrome. One is fine and the other has the same problem. If it was just my machine, I would assume that there was some corrupt file somewhere, but that ‘s not the case. Two of the dropdwon menus work, the rest do not.

I’m using Chrome and Golf Leagues for example has a dropdown menu. What do you mean by it doesn’t work?

    Thread Starter rickrowell

    (@rickrowell)

Golf Leagues does not drop down to reveal the other selections on two of three machines running chrome. When I disabled Easy Slider Lite, the menus operated as expected. Re-enabling the Easy Slider Lite again produced the problem on the same two machines.

To clarify you don’t see this on Chrome: http://snag.gy/wWise.jpg ?

    Thread Starter rickrowell

    (@rickrowell)

correct, on chrome on twp of three machines. However, on the machines that do not show the dropdown, I can hover where the menu items should be and select the menu item, make sense – I’m clicking a menu that I can’t see and using the status bar to show me the link under the cursor. Is this just a problem on my machines, you seem to not have any difficulty. Pretty hard to troubleshoot when you can’t replicate the problem

Can you deactivate all of your extensions in chrome?
