Menu is broken after updating the theme to 1.3.0

I just updated to 1.3.0 from 1.1.6 and have the same problem. How do you fix this?

1) Update your header.php and footer.php of your child theme to the latest from the new version of the parent theme.
2) Clear/purge WP site cache
3) Force-refresh the page by pressing CTRL+F5 once or twice in the web browser.

@freeazy I just updated wordpress to version 5.6 and the problem is solved
