Good morning, I created a “contact” page through the editor and using a custom template. However, when I go to the “header template element” section to add my “contact” page to the menu, it does not appear in the list. Also, I couldn’t find how to display the “archive” page in the menu.

it offers me to create or add a link for the Contact page
Should I create a contact and blog page in the Pages section and go to settings and activate the static page?
It sounds as though you’ve added all your ‘Contact’ contact to a template within the site. Those templates can be used to decide the overall structure and layout and then be applied to specific pages in the site. However, they cannot be linked to directly as a location visitors can access.
In order to have a link to the Contact content in your header/menu – you’ll need to have an actual ‘Contact’ page set up.
You’ll be able to go to Pages > Add New and call that page ‘Contact’. The next step would be to apply the Contact template you created to that page. You”ll see the option to change that in the Settings sidebar on the right.
Once you’ve set up that page to use the template – you’ll be able to add it to your top menu. Could you please give that a try and let me know how you go?
Thank you, it works well for the contact page. I wanted to do the same for the archive page, but it doesn’t work. If I activate the “static page” in the settings and declare “Articles page: Blog”, it opens the home page for me. If I don’t enable the “static page” in the settings, I can’t assign the archive page in the page template because it doesn’t appear.
I used the second method because I don’t want any articles on the homepage. I created in the Pages section: Home and Blog In settings and reading: I have static layout: Home and Blog In the site editor I added in the header, the Blog link in the menu. When you go to the site and click on Blog in the menu it displays the home page of the site editor? Normally it should open the archive page that corresponds to the articles?

I know this can be very confusing because of the way it’s named, but the blog page that you assign in Settings > Reading uses the Home template (Accueil), not the Archive template.
If you visit the templates area, you’ll see this explanation for the Home template:
Displays the latest posts as either the site homepage or a custom page defined under reading settings. If it exists, the Front Page template overrides this template when posts are shown on the front page.
So to edit the display of your blog page, you’d edit the Home template.
The Archive template is used to drive the display of category, date, and other archive pages.
