• I have verified that PHP extention, gd AND imagick are enabled/available.
I have changed folder permissions to 755.
I have verified that AJAX calls are not being blocked by WAF.
I upload the photo (well within limits) and then I am presented with a “crop” box.
Then I click Apply. Button switches to Processing… with a dimmed out blue color and just sits there.

I’d really like this to work because Ultimate Member seems to be a solid solution that my client will need soon. However, If profile photos don’t work, they won’t be able to have a member directory which is a requirement for my client. Happy to work with you to resolve, but this is a showstopper for your plugin. Thank you!

  • I removed and reinstalled UM and it fixed everything up. suggest doing that on a copy of your site. Good Luck!

Word of caution – when you reinstall it will delete all your membership forms – I’ve yet to find a method to back these up safely – Ultimate member it seems writes everything into the posts and postmeta tables rather than having something separate.

Thanks for the help, however, that didn’t resolve the issue.

sorry for the delay, been busy and the thought of turning off all my plugins and changing theme and then reenabling each plugin one at time is a bit daunting, but I got thru it today.

I’ll give the sequence of events. 1. BACKED UP SITE
    2. I group selected all plugins. I group disabled all plugins.
    3. I changed theme back to twenty five.
    4. tried to edit user, then realized I had to REACTIVATE ultimate member.
    5. Edit User profile gave a Page Not Found.
    6. Reactivated BOSA theme.
    7. Edit User profile WORKED!
    8. I started enabling plugins in groups of 3 or 4, testing profile editing, removing photo, uploading new one and saving.
    9. After I finished w/ activating plugins that I needed, Edit User Profile still worked, so I think I’m in business.

    Thank you!

nope, back to square one. I added the next user and then tried to edit their profile picture and it got stuck in the same place. This is too much trouble…
