Media upload in grid mode issue

    Hello,

    Since the last update we’ve made at my company, we encountered a strange bug :
    when we want to upload a media and send its permalink via social networks, etc. it’s absolutely fine if we use the list view but here’s the problem :

    In grid view, when we upload a media via the “upload-ui” box, it immediately becomes “attached”, and we do not want that. Because its permalink sends an administrator to the media page but with an url with a 2013 date, and any other visitor to a 404 page.

    Could you give us some help? Has someone already encoutered this situation?

    How are you getting to the media library?
    I just logged in, went to Media (gid layout) uploaded an image and it’s not attached.

    if you go to a page or post and then hit add media and upload, then the image is attached.

    There’s probably a plugin you can use to unattached images, but I guess that may not solve the problem.

    Hi Christine ! I’m getting to the media library directly, from the admin menu.
