Media Library Not Showing

    Hi,

    I’ve encountered a problem with the Media library, when it opens no images are displayed in ‘grid view’, switch to list view and images are displayed. This causes problems when say selecting featured images in posts. Uploading images also throws a ‘cant upload now try later message’…but the images upload no problem.

    I’ve tried many things included disabling plugins and switching debuging on (no errors). My hosting company says there’s nothing server side as well.

    I’ve spent so much time trying to solve this and its driving me mad!

    Can the default media library be changed to say media library plus?

    Any suggestion would be greatly recieved.

    Ok, so I’ve now stripped this right back. No themes other than Twenty Sixteen and all plugins disabled…still have the problem.

    Deleted all files except wp-content and wp-config.php…still have the same problem.

    …next step is to install a clean install on a spare domain

    I’ve discovered syntax error on the Chrome developer console:
