Media attachement redirect

    Dear yoast support

    we did a update to latest yoast SEO plugin version. We tried to use option to redirect media URLs to attachment-post URL. If we use this option, also our WPDM single downloads are redirected to a not found page.

    Is there a way to exclude post-types/ media-attachments from redirect?

    While we don’t have a filter available to exclude certain post types from media (attachment) redirects, we do know that the media (attachment) redirect will only redirect to the media files and not any custom post types items.

    That said if you are experiencing 404 issue when the media (attachment) redirect is enabled, can you please flush the permalink structure directly from the WordPress Permalinks settings without changing anything and saving the Permalinks settings to check whether this resolves the issue?
