MAXING out CPU after latest update

    Hi, We just updated the latest version of 1.21.1 and we suddenly started facing a major CPU spike to 100% if an admin logged in to wordpress.
    When they logg out PCU usage goes down gradually.

    Also, we disabled the plgin and CPU usage came down to 30%.

    We are on a VPS server, so high end CPU, RAM and NVME SSD is available to us, yet this issue cropped up as soon as we updated your plugin.

    Please check the plugin, there is definitely some bug in it.

    Whatever caused this spike that coincided with the update to WP Crontrol almost certainly wasn’t caused by it. WP Crontrol is a passive plugin, it does nothing unless you’re viewing its cron management screens and there’s no functionality that correlates to a user being logged in or them logging out.

    A backlog of overdue cron events might have triggered and run right around the same time you updated the plugin. You’ll need to do some further investigation if you see this spike again.
