Match result not processed

Online I’ve a leaguemanager competition with 14 teams and 182 matches. When I enter the seven results of the first round, they are not processed. The standings stay unchanged (all zeros). No error message shown.

I’ve got a local copy and after entering the results of the first seven matches of matchday 1, at the top of the screen this error message pops up:

Warning: Unknown: Input variables exceeded 1000. To increase the limit change max_input_vars in php.ini. in Unknown on line 0

The results are also not processed. How can I solve this?
