well, that is the problem with decentralized service like Mastodon. For the good or the bad, there is no zentral URL which you could use to share something.
For example, for Facebook you just have a simple link:
https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=URL_TO_SHARE
For Mastodon there is no such thing, since you have to use your individuell Mastodon instance.
There are solutions out there, but all of them have the same problem: After clicking the button the user has to manually type in the URL of the Mastodon instance he or she uses. Who would do that? When you simple can Copy and Paste the URL you want so share while on a desktop computer or use the native share function of your mobile device on which you will most likely have the Mastodon app installed.

If you ever come across a Mastodon share button, where the end user does not have to enter his/her Mastodon instance URL manually, please let us know. I’ll be more than happy to include it. At the moment there is simply no useful solution I know of unfortunately.

Now heise.de is too on Mastodon for the pleasure of much heise-fans.
I use Mastodon and know many User who wish very well a possitiblity for Sharing.
You Supposing, that Mastodon-User would not insert their Instanz-URL in a Field is not right.
Maybe you only know central kommercial platforms an the convenience of their users.
But in Fediverse/Mastdon we are not so pampered.
All existing Plugins with Mastodon show after klicking a possibility for insert the Instanz-URL.
There is no other Possibiity, I think.
I believe, so much people, who use Mastodon would be very happy, if you would do it so.
The most Users know their Instanz, it is not difficult.
Now I use addanyshare because of Mastodon-Sharing, but it is not so safe like Shariff.
Comfortable vs.Security – than I prefer Security.
Please make a Mastodon-Share with Instanz-URL-Insert an the Web with a Shariff for Mastodon will be more secure than without this.

ich würde es begrüßen, wenn Ihr eine Implementierung mit Instanz-Modal einbaut, wenn der Aufwand vertretbar ist. Ob man das dann nutzt, kann ja jeder selbst entscheiden (ich würde es tun).
