Massive DOS attack after installing WordPress Backup to Dropbox

    I installed WordPress Backup to Dropbox and did the first backup and immediately got such a massive DOS attack from multiple random IP’s. It was so big even the host was surprised. The domain and site are only a week old and not even indexed in Google yet.

    They suspended my account – when the unsuspended it, the attacks started immediately again. The host has now shut me down and told me to get hosting elsewhere.

    I hope that this is just a coincidence with the installation of this plugin.

    Thats not good news at all. Id say it is just a coincidence. Do you have any more information on the incident? Error logs or a screenshot?

    Sorry no. The host shut me down and is not happy about the situation.

    Hopefully it was a coincidence, but i posted in case it happens for anyone else and then can be investigated.
