Thanks for putting in the hours to create this free plugin. I’m probably missing something simple here – but can you explain how I get a Mass Messaging menu item into the group menu?

Into the group menu? At the moment this is not supported but is likely to be in an upcoming version. Instead goto your profile, messages, mass messaging and select the group from there.
