Masking for Phone Field

Hi there,

Is it possible to somehow add some masking to the phone number field? My problem is when users enter in the phone number
eg) 555111222
it will go into my database like that – and makes it hard to search for numbers. I have seen on some websites when you click on a phone number field you only have the option of entering it as
555 111 2222
(it spaces it automatically).

How can I add this?
