Thanks for your report. There is no bug or other MLA problem I am aware of that would cause your mapping not to work. The most likely causes of the problem you are experiencing are 1) the data you want is missing from the image file or in another IPTC/EXIF variable, or 2) the rule(s) you have defined have some small problem and are not doing what you expect.
If you can give me more information I can try to reproduce the problem. First, can you post a link to one or more of the image files you are uploading and trying to map from? Second, can you tell me all of the settings you have made for the rule(s), such as your “Existing Text” keep/replace setting? Finally, can you try using the Bulk Edit feature to map one or more of your image files:
- Navigate to the Media/Assistant admin submenu screen.
- Check the box to the left of one or more items.
- Select “Edit” from the “Bulk Actions” dropdown control, then click “Apply.
- Click the “Map IPTC EXIF metadata” button in the lower-right corner of the Bulk Edit area.
When the bulk mapping completes, what does it say to the right of each completed item? What does it say at the bottom of the display, e.g., “Complete, Unchanged, Succeeded, Failed” counts?
