Map subdomain to specific page

    So here is how i’ve got my site setup:

    mysite.com (homepage)
mysite.com/blog/ (the blog page)

    I’ve also got a subdomain currently pointing to the regular homepage, and what I want to do is make this subdomain show the blog page:

    blog.mysite.com > mysite.com/blog

    But I do not want it to redirect to this page, when this subdomain is visited I want people to see the basic /blog/ page.

    Is this at all possible? Thanks.

    Yes it is possible but the particulars depend upon your host’s setup. Most likely you can do this through your control panel (cPanel, Plesk, or ?)

    Its 1&1 so the only things i have are the standard host admin and phpmyadmin.

    I can do mod_rewrite commands in .htaccess but I haven’t had any luck with that yet, as I think the wordpress rewrite rules are overriding my own.

    Roughly what would I need to do on my hosts admin area?

    No ideas at all? I’m sure this must be possible with a rewrite rule, I just need something which is going to modify the existing WordPress rewrite rule.
