I have also discovered this issue today.
As a workaround. You can select the option to automatically watermark images on upload and that should solve the problem in the short term until there is a fix.
Just remember to change the setting to not automatically watermark images once you have finished uploading your images.
After the new update, and does not operate in the automatic mode …
It doesn’t work for me either using version 1.5.5.
It says that watermark was successfully applied, but it actually isn’t.
I am also experiencing the same problem with the latest version…
Please try with 1.5.6 – this should be solved now.
In my case manual mode not worked on version 1.5.6.
Trying with GD and ImageMagic – with same result.
I just added this plugin today and cannot get this feature to work, either. Will it be fixed soon?
I also encounter the same problem using the latest version 1.5.6 of plugin. I also try to disable other plugins, but it still “Manual watermarking” not working.
