Have you asked the developer of the theme?
Doesn’t seem to be one from here:

Not yet, but i will. I have his website URL:
http://jimbarraud.com
I wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem first 🙂
Where did you download this theme from?
Because there may be two versions of this theme available for download. I assumed you’d want to be directed to the correct support for your version.

I am using the wordpress.com version. I liked the additional functionality offered in contrast to the ‘bare-bones’ wordpress.org version.
I see the theme author is currently working on an upgrade to the .org version though that will reflect many of the .com additions.
The Manifest theme isn’t available within the WPORG Repository yet but you may be able to get some support from the wp.com folk who carry out theme support generally. To that end, I’ve tagged this topic for their attention as they’re the best people to provide help for themes downloaded from wp.com. Especially as this version may have been modified specifically for wp.com.
Just hang tight and someone should be along shortly. 🙂
Hi John, we haven’t been able to replicate your issue with Manifest, so would you mind doing some troubleshooting with us to rule out a few things?
– Please try turning off all your plugins. Is the issue gone? If it is, turn them back on one-by-one to find the conflict.
– Does this issue happen in a different browser? If it only happens in one browser, could you let me know which browser and version, and try turning off all add-ons and extensions. In some browsers there’s a “safe mode” that lets you do this quickly.
– Could you please check the JavaScript console to see if there are any errors when this happens? In Chrome, you’ll find it under View > Developer > JavaScript Console.
Thanks!

Thanks, Kathryn,
I will certainly check for plugin issues and for JavaScript errors – I have tried it on both Chrome and Safari and it occurs identically on both.
I will try it in safe mode too though, just in case.
I will get back to you once I have checked these 🙂

Kathryn,
The problem appears to be with CKEditor which I have been using. Even with all other plugins re-activated and that one deactivated, the problem doesn’t recur. Problem has disappeared on both Chrome and Safari.
Thanks for your help – much appreciated.
John
Hi John, glad you found the culprit. Thanks for letting me know.
