• Hello – I have WP Twenty-ten child theme running with WP E-Commerce plugin + gold cart. I also have the Dynamic Widget plugin to manage which pages display which widgets.

The default Product Page of WPEC is ok (I have renamed it Windsor Arts Shop http://www.windsorartscene.com/windsor-arts-shop/) and can manage the widgets through the Dynamic Widget plugin.
I am able to do the same with the single product page e.g. display only the widgets I want to display http://www.windsorartscene.com/windsor-arts-shop/tshirts/plectrum-design-pick-me-t-shirt/

The problem lies with the Product Category ‘page’. Getshopped have confirmed that this is in fact a post not a static page. Problem here is that every widget is displayed and I cannot fathom out how I can control this particular post/page.

    Can anyone advise on this?

I have not tried it, but the only solution I can think of would be to create all WPEC products and categories under a different WordPress User Name/Administrator login. The Dynamic widget then gives you the option to show widget if User Name = ….

    Thanks in advance

  • I think the problem may be which template is being selected with the products-page, which is a basic page with a short code reference.
