malware on free version install

    Hi Max MM devs,
    I looked for a way to contact you via P.M. but this support forum seems the only way. I installed the free version of the MMM plugin today (from the WP repository), it seems to have introduced the rogue-ads malware onto the site. Can you check the installer file please?

    This malware opens a new browser window on scroll/mouse-actions.

    Hi Kev,

    Thanks for getting in touch. I’ve checked the files and there’s nothing in there that should do this – I think the only way it could happen is if someone guessed my WordPress SVN password and updated some files ‘on my behalf’, but I do not think that has happened. We do not have any frontend JavaScript in the free version that listens to scroll events (only in the Pro version for the sticky menu).
