• I have a little web site: http://www.thatcrankybastard.com and when I view it in Google Chrome I get the warning message:

Warning: Visiting this site may harm your computer!
The website at http://www.thatcrankybastard.com contains elements from the site vestelia.com, which appears to host malware – software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent. Just visiting a site that contains malware can infect your computer.

I can’t find anything in my site with that domain name attached to it, and I have visited the site plenty of times with my IE and Firefox browsers, never received this warning.

A friend visited with his firefox browser and said it gave him a trojan warning.

Anyone with any advice for a dummy? I can set these up but I’m not much on troubleshooting. I sure appreciate the help!

  • You have been hacked. I see bad javascript inserted at the very bottom of your browser source code.

I can’t find anything in my site with that domain name attached to it…

    It’s encoded in javascript.

Try a forum search for hacked to find info on how to fix this.

Can you by any chance copy that code to me so I can search it out?
I appreciate you looking this up for me.

Never mind, I found it and cleared it all out of there. I’ll be reading up on locking down my server this week.

Thanks for getting me pointed in the right direction!
