Malfunctioning widgets page.

Hi all,

having a distressful problem with my widgets under Appearence > widgets.

I am trying to edit a widget yet the page seems to be rigid/static. I cannot drag any widgets nor can I expand or collapse the activated ones. This obviously wasn’t the case before because the widgets worked enough to be activated (the ones currently active).

Unfortunately I wasn’t present to see what changed as I was brought onto the project late. Does anyone know what could be causing the page to refuse to work ?

But sometimes when i click the inactive boxes it picks up something in its url namely: http://xxxxxxx/wp-admin/widgets.php#available-widgets

I’d greatly appreciate your help on this
