Making Header Transparent on Basic Pages

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone knew a way for a header on basic pages to be transparent (http://www.jendotkim.com/contact/) so that it mimics how it appears on the front page when that option is ticked on (http://www.jendotkim.com/).

I just want my header and nav to have a transparent background so that they are layered on top of the slide image.

I would also like to remove the top padding above the slideshow.
